Tojo Hochstapler is a free-standing shelving system that is horizontally and vertically extendable. Distinctively cut sides are what gives this shelving system its unmistakable look and enables the connection of additional elements. The bottom shelf is directly under the cut, preventing it from shifting sideways. The Hochstapler is made of melamine-coated MDF. Each vertical unit requires a basic element. The basic element has a top and a bottom side. The latter is always used as the top shelf. The system can be extended with any number of additional units. The basic element can also be used as a piece of furniture in itself, whereas the additional units cannot.
