Too big, unused in OVP returned - Digitec charges CHF 33.--.

filter was too big, size not apparent in the description, unused in OVP back for credit, Digitec charges CHF 33.-- for nothing, postage for return shipping also at my expense - I am disappointed - no more digitec / galaxus

    Good degradation

Does what you expect from a filter. C-degradation and nitrifying. In use for discus tanks with 600L for a long time. Already the 3rd FX6. Despite the high pump capacity, the inflow into the aquarium is well solved. It does not immediately swirl through the tank.
Unfortunately, despite careful maintenance, the connections are not leak-proof. Unfortunately, leaks are to be expected after 3 years.

    High performance

The best filter for large aquariums. Very easy to maintain and clean. A little too noisy but acceptable. Would recommend

    Large powerful external filter

I noticed several points when connecting the filter. The brackets used to remove the baskets from the filter easily fall out of their anchorage, especially when lifting in the 3 filter baskets. The hoses are extremely bulky and unruly. The hose clamps were a little too small, I had to replace them with larger ones as otherwise the hose would just be pushed off the nozzle when tightening the clamp. The two bends that lead the hoses to hang them in the aquarium are each closed with 3 clips, but these tend to pop off again, so check them carefully. I will replace the hoses in the spring with Gardena pond hose, which is much more flexible and can withstand sufficient pressure. The filter inlet is very large, which doesn't matter to me as it disappears behind the stones. To start it up, you need to fill it with 8 litres of water, which is very little. I filled it with 12 litres so that it sucks in more easily. The filter is very powerful and quiet in operation. The 2 adjustable inlet nozzles can be used to control the water jet. The function of being able to change the water via the separate outlet is very practical. I am therefore satisfied with the FX6. Of course, I can't say anything about its durability after such a short time. You can get all the spare parts for the FX6, which is reassuring.

    • Powerful performance, quiet operation

    • The hoses are extremely unruly

    Great filter

I have 3 large aquariums and now 3 of these filters. The best filter in switzerland. I tried all the others. Easy to use and refill water in the aquarium. They run a little over a month before I clean them. I have bio media in all the middle parts of the tray and sponges on the outside part. Over 8 years with my first one. Still no problems.

    Pro

    • You can fill and remove water with a hose. No more buckets to carry.
    • Every 12 hours removes trapped air alone.
    • 3 large trays for bio media, etc.
    • Quiet

    Contra

    • May not fit in every aquarium cabinet
