Self-cleaning litter tray
The litter bin gets very full. In two days it is overflowing not only with sandballs and faeces, but also a lot of clean sand. In fact the level in two days has gone to 60%. Have I got the wrong type of sand? Does it need to be very fine? Or coarser? I'm using Monge vegetable corn-based, ultra-agglomerating (it's called easy Green) the grains will be 3 mm in diameter. Can you help me?
Hello,
We recommend a cat litter that clumps well, preferably made of bentonite, as stated in the instructions. The instructions also state the following: Avoid using cat litter pellets (grain diameter over 3 mm, length over 10 mm) as this can lead to unnecessary waste of cat litter. I am not familiar with the Monge easy green, but it looks like this can lead to exactly these problems, that it does not fit into the collection container and is therefore unnecessarily disposed of.
We use the EverClean cat litter, for example, which works great with the toilet.
I hope I have been able to help.
