Product details
The design was created in the late 1980s during a family vacation in Capri. The inspiration came from a plate of calamari, over which Philippe Starck wanted to squeeze a lemon. Clearly inspired by the sight of the octopus, Starck quickly sketched his ideas on the paper tablecloth of the pizzeria. He sent the tablecloth, with his designs amidst food scraps and stains, to Alberto Alessi, who brought the lemon squeezer to life in 1990.
Position the lemon squeezer over the object to be drizzled with lemon juice or over an empty glass. Now hold one of the three legs firmly, and you can easily press and twist to extract juice from the halved lemon - done. To clean, simply rinse under running water. This three-legged, silver-colored design object is made of polished material and stands 29.0 cm tall.
