Quasi the opposite of light boots: The Hanwag is quite flat, but you stand very securely in a really sturdy low shoe and on a wide, medium-stiff sole with a great all-round profile. It is neither light nor cheap, but the footing is so good and secure that experienced hikers could even use it in easy mountains.
