The battery pulser is patented and is ideally connected to the vehicle battery as a preventive measure. The impulses generated when the alternator is charging help prevent or reduce the typical sulfation of the battery, which is responsible for 80% of failures. This can increase the battery's lifespan by up to five times. Megapulse can also be used for battery maintenance in conjunction with a battery charger or maintenance device. Even old batteries can regain significant starting power and capacity with such treatment and can be reused in the vehicle. There are limitations to its effectiveness with batteries that have a mechanical defect or a cell short. Installation should be done near the battery and preferably in a splash-proof manner.
