In an emergency, it emits an audible alarm and automatically sends a signal to all POPP smoke detectors within range, triggering them as well. This so-called meshing works completely automatically and without additional configuration. This ensures that everyone, even on another floor or while sleeping at night, can hear the alarm sound.

Thanks to Z-Wave wireless networking, you can execute further actions through the Smart Home central in case of an alarm. Secure escape routes by automatically lighting them up, raising blinds and shutters, and unlocking doors. If an electrical device (e.g., iron) is the cause of the alarm, it can be automatically turned off (must be connected to a smart wireless plug).

Beyond the smoke detection function, this Z-Wave device can also be used as an independent indoor siren and integrated into an existing security system. You can link the smoke alarm independently from the control center with additional sensors such as window and door contacts or motion detectors in your Z-Wave Smart Home. In case of an alarm, a different acoustic signal will sound than in the case of fire.
