The TaHoma smoke detector can be used without the connection to TaHoma io. It warns residents when smoke particles are detected via an in-built siren with a volume of 85 dB and a flashing light. If there are several smoke detectors in the house or flat, you will receive a signal via the built-in siren and warn the residents in the other rooms. If the smoke detector is connected, alarms can be sent by e-mail or text message using TaHoma Connect. These are triggered in the event of a fire for integration into scenarios or "if-then" programming. For example, all blinds and shutters can be opened to evacuate the house quickly and the light can be switched on for better orientation. The smoke detector must be installed in the centre of the room on the ceiling and at the following minimum distances: at least 20 cm from an obstacle (brick, wall, beam, etc.); at least 60 cm from each corner of the room. We recommend installing a smoke detector in the hallway, stairwell, bedroom and children's room. The io smoke detector complies with the EN14604 standard and can be used in accordance with the DIN 14676 standard.
