The high-quality battery is permanently installed and therefore cannot be removed without destroying the device. A slowly flashing LED indicates that the device is ready for operation, so that you know at a glance that everything is in order. An alarm triggered by burnt food, for example, can be switched off briefly using the mute button (automatic reactivation after approx. 10 minutes). When the battery voltage drops, an acoustic signal warns you for at least 30 days. After a longer absence and for regular checks, the easy-to-reach test button enables a quick function test. In case of an emergency, the smoke detector warns you with a particularly loud alarm tone (85 dB) and can thus save lives or protect you from high property damage.
