Test Report

7 tea makers in a comparison test

Whether it is exquisite green tea, tangy black tea or mild white tea, tea really does cater for all tastes. Tea connoisseurs know that the individual types of tea need to be brewed at different high temperatures in order to exploit their full aroma: green tea is brewed at a mild temperature of 60 to 70 °C, white tea at a moderate temperature of 80 to 85 °C and black tea at a high temperature of 95 °C. To ensure that these temperatures are always reliably reached, a modern tea maker is recommended. With such a tea maker, the temperature can be set exactly! We have tested 10 tea makers; they fall into two different groups: Tea makers (1st group), where the temperature can be adjusted, and tea makers (2nd group), which prepare the tea fully automatically and where only the brewing time can be determined.
