Compact yet incredibly powerful: With this compact printer featuring a swiveling monochrome LCD display, a 250-sheet cassette, and a rear paper feed for up to 100 sheets, you can easily keep to your schedules. It can handle various print media – even banners up to 1.2 meters long (only regular paper).
Anyone looking for a printer for the home quickly realises that the price range is huge. The printers tested by Stiftung Warentest range from under 100 to over 1,000 euros. The differences in quality are just as great: while many good printers tested impress with razor-sharp text or brilliant photo prints, others disappoint with blurred, streaky print images, poor contrast or colour errors...
The test winner from Canon is far too expensive for occasional printers, but if you print a lot, the Maxify GX7050 is just right for you. It prints texts, graphics and photos quickly and extremely cheaply. The Maxify also scores points with its extensive features: two paper cassettes that store the paper supply dust-free, an automatic document feeder and the option of double-sided printing.
The Maxify GX4050 prints just as cheaply and just as well as the test winner. It was even slightly faster in the speed measurements. The GX4050 is noticeably smaller than the GX7050. On the other hand, the equipment has been economised: the display is smaller. In addition, the small Maxify only has one paper cassette. Not so nice: When printing, the Canon is very loud at 17.1 sone.
The Canon Maxify GX7050 shines with excellent print quality, a large paper capacity and very good features, as long as you can do without borderless printing.
