This flow sensor is integrated into the cooling circuit and enables continuous flow measurement. The sensor can be connected to an aquaero 4.00 USB fan controller or to the pump control unit poweradjust
USB with the separately available connection cable.
This new version with a nozzle diameter of 5.6 mm reduces the flow resistance to a minimum compared to the previous version with 3.3 mm diameter without noticeably limiting the measuring accuracy.
Please note the different calibration values of the different nozzle diameters:
Nozzle diameter 5.6 mm: 256 pulses per liter
Nozzle diameter 3.3 mm: 509 pulses per liter
The nozzle diameter is documented on the type plate of the flow sensor.
Note on sensor compatibility:
Flow sensors are only suitable for connecting to a compatible controller and can NOT be connected directly to a fan output of a mainboard or fan controller, because the pulses of the flow sensor do not reach the required pulse rate (like a fan). The only possibility is the use of the pulsmatics (Art. 71000) which is connected between the flow sensor and e.g. the mainboard. However, we advise against this solution for practical and cost reasons alone and recommend connecting this flow sensor directly to a compatible control unit.
