The lens consists of 9 elements in 9 groups. An aspherical element allows for a compact design without compromising quality, effectively showcasing the advantages of the Micro Four Thirds standard. Particularly valuable in the macro range is the O.I.S. image stabilizer, which effectively suppresses motion blur during handheld shots or in low light conditions. Focusing via internal focusing ensures consistently high image quality across all distances from infinity to 10.5 cm (1:1). A fast signal transmission rate of up to 240 B/s enables the quickest reactions with current high-speed AF cameras like the LUMIX GM5. Additionally, focusing for both photo and video is smooth and silent. With a brightness of F2.8 and a focal length of 60 mm (35mm equivalent), it also serves as a lightweight telephoto and portrait lens. The LUMIX G MACRO 30 mm/2.8 ASPH./O.I.S. is equipped with a sturdy metal bayonet, and the multi-layer coating of the lens elements ensures high-contrast image reproduction without reflections or ghosting.
