The design of the GRIII "Street Edition" is clearly focused on street photography, which requires the highest technical performance, as this camera offers. To reflect the rough asphalt of the streets, the camera has been given a metallic gray finish that gives it a very elegant, grainy texture achieved by repeatedly spraying drops of the coating material onto the camera body. While this particular paint looks slick, it also helps improve the camera's grip. An "eye-catching" yellow-orange ring accentuates its unique look.
The new "Full Press Snap" function allows the shutter button to be pressed via the LCD screen, cancelling autofocus in favour of preset focus over a pre-selected distance. This allows exceptional responsiveness to capture rare moments that are the essence of street photography, and highlights the GRIII's strength in this area. Finally, the "Street Edition" logo appears on the screen when the camera is turned off. This camera has all the technological advances of the GRIII: speed and ease of use combined with high performance and exceptional image quality. Mit der X100VI ist Fujifilm ein großer Wurf gelungen. Als erste Kompaktkamera verdient sie sich unser Ausnahmeprädikat „Super", Das Retro-Bedienkonzept bleibt Geschmacksache. Da die Kamera auch eine „moderne" Bedienung zulässt, kommt eigentlich jeder auf seine Kosten. Bleibt der gehobene Preis von 1800 Euro...
Als Immer-dabei-Kamera hat die GR III viele Stärken: Sie ist handlich und leicht, ihr Bedienkonzept ist übersichtlich, und sie fotografiert mit guter Bildqualität. In Dunkelheit verhilft die kameraseitige Bildstabilisierung zu unverwackelten Aufnahmen. Schwächen sind das langsame AF-System, ein kleiner Akku und der hohe Preis.
Qualitativ spielt die Ricoh GR III in der Liga der kompakten Systemkameras. Dank 14bit-DNG-RAW lässt sich das Sensorpotenzial weitestgehend ausreizen. Aber auch die JPEGs hat Ricoh gut abgestimmt. Die Beschränkung auf die Festbrennweite ist systemimmanent. Dagegen stehen ein eingebauter Blitz, Sucher und Wetterfestigkeit auf unserer Wunschliste für eine GR IV...
