The OpenRun Pro 2 are constructed in the same way as their predecessors. The electronics and battery are suspended from two arms on a flexible neckband, behind which the actual headphones follow on movable ear hooks. This type of construction ensures a firm fit on the head, but also means that the charging case is very large...
- Very comfortable
- Fits perfectly during sports
- Waterproof
- Too quiet
- Sound conceptually worse than in-ears
I've never enjoyed jogging with headphones so much. The OpenRun Pro 2 can be recommended without reservation, but only if you're not out and about in a noisy city. There is nothing comparable in terms of fit and comfort. The sound is good for this type of headphones, but compared to classic in-ears, the OpenRun Pro 2 are inferior.
The new Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 represent a noticeable upgrade in almost all areas compared to its two-year-old predecessor. The headphones are even more comfortable to wear, even though the weight has increased slightly. The new USB-C port, which allows charging with all suitable cables, is very practical...
- High wearing comfort during sports
- First-class Bluetooth range
- Long battery life, short charging time
- Weak bass
With the OpenRun Pro 2, Shokz delivers a hybrid sports headphone that convinced us with its open design when tested. The lightweight neckband sits comfortably and very stably without blocking the ear canal. As with its predecessor, the sound is transmitted via bone sound, but this time small speakers are also used...
- Very comfortable to wear and good support
- orderly sound
- long battery life
- No high-res codecs
- Few setting options
The Shokz Openrun Pro 2 is tailor-made for outdoor sports enthusiasts and road users who need to be aware of ambient noise. Yes, almost every in-ear, on-ear or over-ear headphone now has a - more or less good - Aware mode. But in practice, it's just not the same and safety should always be the top priority when listening to music or making phone calls in a potentially dangerous environment...
