Das sehr gut verarbeitete Objektiv verdient die Auszeichnung für eine Empfehlung zurecht. Dabei sind die Abbildungsleistungen nicht nur abgeblendet sehr gut, sondern bereits offen. Zwar ist der Randabfall leicht zu erkennen aber im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz ist das Sigma eine Klasse für sich. Das Gewicht könnte zwar etwas geringer ausfallen aber das Mitführen des Modells lohnt sich definitiv.
Die Ausstattung des Sigma 1,4 / 50 mm DG HSM (A) bewegt sich auf allerhöchstem Niveau. Der Autofokus ist gut, besonders stark ist jedoch die Auflösung, zumal der Testsieger auch bei der Objektivgüte überzeugen kann.
