The Skullcandy comes in last place by some distance. However, this is not without reason: it reproduces music with little detail and sometimes croaky voices, the noise cancelling only roughly filters out medium and low noises, and the battery life of just under 27 hours is far behind the competition. Even the good search function via the Tile app only helps to a limited extent.

The last place goes to the Hesh ANC. This is not only due to its mediocre sound, but also to its short battery life and sluggish buttons. Although the headphones are nice and light and well-shaped, their narrow padding puts noticeable pressure on the head. The active noise-cancelling (ANC) was also less convincing than that of the competition, and the attenuation was comparatively weak.

The ANC worked surprisingly effectively, but changed the sound audibly. The overall sound tuning was clearly too bass-heavy, while the mids and highs were well balanced. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer an app for the Hesh ANC with which you can tame the bass via EQ. The feel is predominantly plastic. However, the workmanship was good overall.
