Product details
A continuous, even focus on moving subjects is essential to capture important moments - whether it is a sporting event or an everyday situation. Sony's sophisticated, artificial intelligence-based1 motif tracking algorithm therefore processes enormous amounts of spatial data in real time and at high speed.
Real-time autofocus with eye detection tracks your subject's eyes even when the subject is moving, backlit, looking down or part of the face is obscured. You can focus on the left or right eye.
Sony's innovative eye recognition algorithms are suitable for shooting animals and people. This is how sharply focused animal portraits and beautiful wildlife shots are achieved.
The large autofocus range is based on dense arrangements with 425 points for phase detection and 425 points for contrast detection for much more precise recognition. The latest generation of fast image processor provides an impressive capture speed of 0.02s, while advanced algorithms anticipate the position of the subject.
Fast internal processing and a large memory buffer allow continuous shooting at up to 11 fps with post display or 8 fps with real-time preview with minimal display delay. Take up to 77 consecutive JPEG images (standard).
When absolute silence is required, for example during live events or animal portraits, α6100 allows you to shoot at up to 8 frames per second6 without noise - with AF/AE tracking enabled, even in AF-C mode, with autofocus with real-time eye recognition or real-time tracking.
