Since they are water-resistant, neither sweat nor rain will hold you back. The sound quality impresses with detailed highs, rich bass, and powerful mids. They are High-Resolution Audio certified, featuring DSEE Extreme for upscaling all songs, and you can customize the sound to your preferences using the EQ in the Sony app. Ultimately, the LinkBuds Fit provide an immersive music experience—the perfect boost of energy you need for your workout or commute. Premium noise cancelling allows you to block out the world around you and focus entirely on the music. As Sony's first headphones with Auto-NC Optimiser, the LinkBuds Fit even detect changes in ambient noise to maximize the effect. Alternatively, you can stay connected to your surroundings with the automatic Ambient Sound mode—ideal for jogging or cycling. Enjoy up to 21 hours of uninterrupted playback (5.5 hours via the headphones + 15.5 hours via the case) and the quick charge feature. Choose from four colors and an additional five colored protective cases (sold separately) to establish your unique look. With Multipoint Connection, you can connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously and switch seamlessly between them. Additionally, there are several user-friendly control options via tapping, voice commands, and the app on your smartphone. The LinkBuds Fit feature an eco-friendly design, with headphones and case made from recycled plastic and 100% plastic-free packaging.

Also new in Stiftung Warentest's constantly updated headphone database: 16 current Bluetooth headphones - including in-ears, open-ears and headband models. One in-ear reduces ambient noise perfectly, another fails in this test point. The devices also perform very differently in terms of wearing comfort: many fit well or very well, others fall out of the ear easily...

- Comfortable
- Institution
- Compact charging cradle
- App overloaded
- Sound only mediocre
I would describe the LinkBuds from Sony as standard fare. The headphones work as they should and deliver a decent sound. However, in the now very saturated true wireless market, you can find better products for the same price - both in terms of sound, app and operation.
- Very nice, balanced sound
- Effective noise suppression
- Good battery runtimes
- Secure hold thanks to anchoring in the ear
- Noise in transparency mode
- Charging cradle only charges via cable
- Pleasant sound
- comfortable seat
- long service life
- good app
- Active noise cancellation rather weak
The new Sony LinkBuds cut a fine figure in both versions. In addition to the very long battery life, this is due to the good sound quality during phone calls and the great app. Nevertheless, there are problems here and there: Although the Open are pleasantly open, wearing comfort and sound are not always ideal. The Fit scores highly in terms of sound, but the noise cancellation is rather weak.
