With the 40-pin IDE to SATA adapterIDE2SAT2, you can connect a SATA I/II/III drive to an availableIDE/ATA 33/66/100/133 motherboard port and add newer SATA drives while retaining your existing motherboard
at a low cost.
The IDE/SATA adapter is a cost-effective solution to bridge the gap between the newer 2.5-inch/3.5-inch/5.25-inch SATA drives and older IDE mainboard ports. The IDE2SAT2 also provides support for OODs (optical drives), so you can use Blu-ray, DVD or CD-ROM drives with older IDE mainboards.
