Product details
The telephoto lens has a significantly longer focal length than a normal lens. This reduces the angle of view and makes photographed objects appear closer and larger than they actually are from the point of view where you are with your camera. This type of lens is therefore particularly suitable if you want to take format-filling photographs of distant objects. In addition, subjects photographed with a telephoto lens can be cropped very well due to the shallow depth of field - highlight the desired subject of your image by letting the background disappear in the blur.

The Tamron 2-2.8/35-150 mm Di III VXD shows very good optical performance when slightly stopped down.
- Large focal length range
- Very high light intensity
- Fast autofocus
- No image stabiliser
The imaging performance is very good, the autofocus works quickly and precisely. The feel is great in practice. Thanks to the ribbing, focus and zoom adjustments can be made easily. We have few complaints about the Tamron lens. The only thing we would have liked to see is an integrated image stabiliser...
- The image results are pleasing due to the good resolution performance and beautiful colour and contrast reproduction. The display of blurred areas also looks natural.
- The lens was developed for mirrorless system cameras with sensor image stabilisation
- It therefore does not have its own solution
The combination of a large zoom range, which covers the most important settings from slightly wide-angle to telephoto, and the high speed is attractive. This makes the lens an all-rounder for both holiday photography and sophisticated portraits.
- The lens combines high speed with an interesting focal length range for a wide range of applications.
- Unfortunately, the Tamron lacks an image stabiliser that could support telephoto shots. The distortion is comparatively high.
The interesting alternative to the 24 to 70 millimetre standard convinces with excellent workmanship and very good image quality. The high speed requires a bulky body and the complex construction of 21 lenses a high weight. In short: you get a lot of lens for the money.
- Very high resolution
- Very fast: f/2-2.8
- Fast autofocus
- Two focus hold buttons
- Tube lock
- Around 1.2 kilograms heavy
Especially for portrait photographers, the fast Tamron 2-2.8/35-150 mm Di III VXD is worth considering.
