The direct value display in percent facilitates reading. Thus, the degree of moisture can be checked comparatively over a certain period of time. The measurement is carried out via two insertion probes which are inserted into the material to be measured. The insertion probes can be changed after a high degree of wear. The type of wood can be easily adjusted directly on the device for more precise measurements. It has a temperature compensation function to include the material temperature in the wood moisture measurement. Maximum and minimum values are optionally displayed and the unit has a switchable auto switch-off, a white backlight for the LC display and a hold function to freeze a measured value on the display. It also has a low battery indicator and is powered by 3 x 1.5 V batteries. A protective cap is included for transport protection.
