The strands made of 100% copper are double shielded. A strand is a conductor consisting of many thin individual wires and therefore easy to bend. The advantage is also the high tear resistance. The cable also has a kink protection. In contrast to conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous separation of halogen-containing fire gases is thus excluded. Another advantage is that the exposure to toxic gases (e.g. hydrogen chloride gas in PVC) is reduced to a minimum. Halogen-free cables are also flame resistant and there is no dangerous "fuse effect". Furthermore, halogen-free cables have low smoke levels in the event of fire.
