It has a mute button on the headset, which is usually active when the other person cannot hear you. Unfortunately, this is not displayed on the PC or mobile phone, but is only visible when the headphones are removed.

Good day The microphone should not be a problem. In most cases, you have to make a setting on the unit to determine which microphone should be used for the corresponding recording. For a Windows PC, you should get further under "Sound settings". Greetings Thom

Tapping with 2 fingers on the right shell should interrupt the pause even if the headphones are off. furthermore, the function can be turned off in the Surface headphones app (for pc) from microsoft if I'm not mistaken.

Helpful answer

As I understand it, there are these levels: * ANC max ("maximum noise cancellation") (here still various intermediate levels) * ANC off (i.e. neither ANC nor ambient noise amplified - then the headphones simply muffle because they are closed. However, no announcement is made here) * Ambient noise weak ("passthrough sound") * Ambient sound amplified

The 20 hours are only reached when aptX is deactivated, with aptX activated it is approx. the 16 hours mentioned. To deactivate aptX, the "Surface Audio" app must be installed on the PC/smartphone, where the function can be deactivated under Settings -> Device Controls.
